Ugh allergies! I'm wondering how long it takes for allergy symptoms to subside after switching foods...
Layla has been on so many different foods, I'm trying to find one that doesn't make her allergies flare up. She was on Royal Canin for a bit, until I read the ingredients! She didn't seem to have symptoms like biting her feet, but the skin on her back was very flakey. I had a trial pack of Orijen (fish) so she started on that and her skin looked better right away. After that ran out I had a couple of days before I could get to the store to get more, so I had to give her some emergency "bad" food... Cesar. She ate that for two days until she got back on Orijen. After that, she starting itching her face and neck and legs and biting her feet like crazy. Even last night she was still biting at her feet, and it's been about 4 weeks now on just Orijen! Is it possible the symptoms from the Cesar are still there? I don't think she should still be acting like that, and I'm really hoping it's not the Orijen! For treats she gets Old Mother Hubbard peanut butter treats, but she never seemed to have problems with the treats before.
It breaks my heart to see her be so uncomfortable all the time!
