I was doing research on puppy medications and came across an interesting discussion from a vet about Anesthesia in small breed dogs and why the deaths are more than for humans. He basically advised requesting a second veterinarian to act as anesthetist during surgeries on your dog since this is what is done with humans and so problems are caught earlier and death is more preventable. It will cost more but would be worth it. Anyway, I thought it was an interesting. Here is the link for nayone who would like to read the whole thing.
