Izzy is a barker but that's what terriers do and really I don't mind it to an extent. I do want her to bark when she hear's a strange noise or if someone comes to the door, but we are working on the word "enough" to make her stop when we want to. She also barks at the cats a lot - she just wants them to play. I have to think that since she is still a puppy (8mos) that she is still getting used to her environment and as she matures the barking will dimenish somewhat. I've read several posts on YT that people get good results to stop the barking by putting coins in an empty soda can and taping and when furbutt starts barking to shake it and say "enough" or whatever cue word you will use. We will be starting that this week - we'll see how that goes.
