I'm still having a hard time training Mimi . She will pee most of the time on the pad if she's in the pen that I made smaller now about 2ftX4ft. But she poops near the pad and if I dont see the poop right away she will jump all over it since she's running around in that little space. Well I'm trying to train her by this book. I put the pen very big and she now has about a 6X8 ft space. I bought the xlarge pee pads 30"X36" she only pees on one corner so tomorrow I will remove one pad and let her go on that same spot. She didnt make a mess today since she kept away from the pee and poop. I will slowly drag the pen and open it like a fence and give her half of the family room to roam around. The whole idea is to get her to remember to go back to the pee pad. She knows where to pee when she's near that corner. But if she's on one end of the room she forgets and pees right in the middle of the room! Ive tried to add another pad at the other end but she wont use it ! Even with the housetraining drops
Sorry this thread was about playpens and I ended up venting! I guess my answer is that I use the pens they sell in PetSmart. Ithink it cost me about $80+ The thing I like about it is that I can make it as small or as big as I want and it's tallest Ive seen.
