I was going by the information I saw on several on the recipes. All of the ones I looked at had the following statement somewhere on them: "This recipe is copyright protected and may not be reproduced without ____'s (Food Network, Emeril, Southern Living, etc.) consent."

I will back out of the argument now with one last statement, "If I made up the recipe OR had won prizes for the recipe OR had it published in a national cookbook OR had my own TV show where I demonstrated it on national TV, I don't think I would want someone else claiming it as their own."
