You can never replace your boy, but getting a new baby gives you somewhere to put all that love you want to give him -- and can't. And it helps fill the hole in your heart.
I think these little guys -- ones gotten to nurse a broken heart -- are even more special. They have a "mission" from Day One and they get all this extra love, making them that much more capable of spreading the joy.  |
If you feel ready to love another then thats good..a new baby will give you something positive to focus on.
I lost my 14 year old yorkie in may..and i'm getting my new baby next month..she has made me smile again and given me something to look forward to. I still think of my Heidi everyday and when i do my heart aches for her..but i had 14 long happy years with her and i am so very thankful for that..i know i'm lucky.
