There are many, many members on there that have been in this same situation before that will be able to offer help. Also, they have an amazing amount of information in their Files section. There are many liver shunt survivors and dogs with MVD. I'm sure you will be able to find an incredible amount of information on there....

If you don't want to feed science diet, tell him/her that you would prefer Royal Canin SO13...This food is also specially formulated to dissolve struvite uroliths, and is very low in protein. It's still not a wonderful choice, as natural foods are more than definitely better, but like I said, if you join the liver shunt group, many of the members on there cook for their dogs and many have had or have problems with either struvite or some type of stones... | Thank you, this was very helpful.
