I tried this food too, I did 1/4 H.K. and 1/4 cup of water. I add some boiled lean ground beef and they got 1/2 of this mix for the AM and the other 1/2 for PM. In other words...1/8 in the AM and 1/8 in the PM
My two are 5 and 7 lbs - so if I remember correctly, 1/4 cup each was the right amount for them.
