Buy an x-pen at Dog.com only $38. Then buy an inexpensive plastic tablecloth for the floor, put a wee wee pad on one side, his sleeping area with a bed or blankets on the other side and his water and food in the middle, he'll be happy and he won't ruin your carpet.
