My vet used to volunteer at the HS..and all the new vets he took into his practice were required to volunteer..
He felt bloodwork was not necessary on a young, healthy Yorkie..infact I have never had blood work done on any one under 3 yrs for S/N...

My daughter had her Yorkie spayed here in Florida at the HS and it cost her $5...and another $5 for rabies and $5 for a micro chip...$15 total..amazing..!!!
