1 Teaspoon Karo Syrup
2 Tablespoons butter
1 Teaspoon vanilla
1/2 or 1 cup of pecans or walnuts as desired

Butter the sides of a 1 qt pan.

In a 2 quart saucepan, add sugar, milk, chocolate, salt and Karo syrup. Stir until mixture boils. Boil without stirring to soft ball stage.
Remove from heat. Add butter and vanilla.
Cool without stirring until temperatre reduces to 110 degrees.
Beat mixture until it loses its gloss and thickens.
Pour into the buttered pan. Cut while warm.

Thanks for the recipe. Is it really, really good? It says to remove from heat and add butter and vanilla and cool without stirring. Do you stir the butter and vanilla in?
