Welcome to YT. I purchased my male yorkie in the beginning of July. When I first brought him home, I showed him where the puppy pads were located and he used them with no problem. I thought wow my puppy is a genius. That was short lived. After his third day at home, he would pee on my carpet and mark my furniture. I decided to confine him to one small area instead of giving him free roam of the house. I placed him in the bathroom and purchased a safety gate. I would only let him out to other areas in the house when I could focus all my attention on him. If I caught him sniffing around, I'd put him back into the bathroom on his pads. After about 3 weeks, I was able to let him out and he would go back to use the bathroom on his own. I don't know if this will work for you, but it's worth a try. Good luck!! =) |
