Well, the one thing I've learned over the years about the show breeders, if you're honest with them in regards to your intentions (show, pet, breeding) they are very nice. The ones that breed for the love of the breed, really care about even their 'pet' puppies, and are careful about who adopts them.

Susan was wonderful! I told her about losing my 1st Yorkie to kidney failure at the age of 13, and I was candid and explained that my 2nd Yorkie, Sydney(who is now 9) was not well-socialized with other dogs. She was able to help me choose a puppy with a personality that worked well with Sydney. And she was so right!

My tiny Kia, has actually socialized Sydney to other dogs. It's been a pure case of "Yorkie see, Yorkie do". LOL
