That's a really good idea, browniesmom622.

Basically, short sessions and supervision works for us.

We do let our 8 month old Bodhi spend ten supervised minutes with a Greenie once a week. And as long as his bowels are working normally and we're not testing a new treat.

The Greenie is stored in a paper towel to dry out in between uses.

I discussed this w/my vet after the warnings. It's mostly the gulpers that have obstruction problems. I believe greenies are similiar to a wax/plastic combination.

We got the inedible Greenie in hopes that it would subsitute, but the "Melon Burst" flavor & rubber doesn't even come close to the real thing.

Pig ears - I'm too concerned about bacteria and a curled up piece getting lodged in his teeth.
