That's good to know cause I am considering getting one except for that reason. This maltese is the sweetest little guy anyone would ever meet and he smiles!! I just love him. Mom has had him at the vet multiple times for the breath issue. The vet said it actually is caused by stomach problems and prescribes antibiotics??? Who knows. When he's on the antibiotics he doesn't have bad breath but Mom doesn't want to have him on meds all the time.
