My MIL has a JRT and she is the sweetest thing, but she looooves to chase squirrels. The good thing is that they have 5 acres or so for her to run around on, and she loves it. Sometimes, she just goes out there to bask in the sun, and other times she just runs and chases the squirrels. JRT need LOTS of exercise, that's why it's good for them to have a fenced-in backyard or something like that where they can run free for a little while to burn energy, and then bring them back inside. Good luck!! They're good dogs, but they love to chase things...
