I bought one of those Bobo loofah dogs from Petco. Demi LOVES it.
She has never been a dog who played, which I find mystifying and a little sad. I gave her the toy and figured she'd chew on it for three minutes, hide in her special spot, and I'd never see it again.
But no... she went *crazy* on that loofah dog. We played with it three times today for around an hour each time. It was great! We played more today than we have played in the 2 years we've been together.
My last dog was an 85-lb Lab, all muscle, and playing tug-of-war with him was a full-body contact sport. Playing tug-of-war with Demi is a bit easier! I only have to use 2 fingers!
Demi wants to kill that loofah dog. I'm going to the store to get a few back-ups.
After we played, she sat on me, panting, with a great big open smile on her face. That is really unusual, Demi is a very serious dog.
