The first time I put peanut butter in it, there was peanut butter splattered all over my kitchen and hallway floor. This wasn't from the peanut butter smearing, but from the PB flying out of the kong every time Paddington threw it and it bounced on the floor. The impact on the floor just launched peanut butter all over.
The second time I did it, I froze it. Problem solved- it couldn't splatter as it bounced because it was too hard. Paddington didn't enjoy it as much, but I think it is a fair trade for not having peanut butter splatters all over the house!
