I'm sorry for anyone who buys a puppy and has health issues to contend with. Many breeders' contracts will help with anything congenital if they are advised. Other's contracts are very specific as to what is covered and what isn't.
Patti has a good idea about the older puppy.
It is important to really read the contracts, discuss the "what ifs" with the breeder ahead of time, and get it in writing.
