I love the name Lacey and Kallie of course!!!!
We adopted Kallie when she was 2 1/2 years old and her name was Rosey and hubby just did not think the name fit her so we changed it to Kallie. What we did to help her recognize she was now Kallie is we would get a good 30 feet apart and each of us had treats in our hands. We would take turns saying: "Kallie, come!"............she would come a running and then we rewarded her with a small treat. Then the hubby would call her and give her a treat. We did this for about a week, every day and she accepted the name from then on (maybe she didn't like the name Rosey either). We bought Toby at 6 months and also changed his name...........using the same method it took under a week for him to accept his new name. Dogs are so smart!!!
