I have both the mini and classic, and I do definitely like the classic better. I like that it goes the extra 6 feet, but more importantly that I can fit my hand securely in, so I think you've made the right decision. Other than that, I love the leash. It's nice that they can run a bit more on them, and very convenient! Good luck
