Default Help!!!!Potty Training

I have a mini long haired dachshund and when I got him I took him out once and that was it he was potty trained, but not this beautiful yorkie poo we got last night. I'm starting to think that the poo in Yorkie poo stands for pooper and not poodle! LOL! Can anyone offer advice on this. Is it easier to train them to go outside, on potty pads, in a cat box? And how long does it normal take for these wee little ones to get used to going where they are suppose to. When you see them going where they are not suppose to what do you do? Pick them up and take them where they should? I tried that last night and then she just jumped out. I'm trying to housebreak her in a cat box with a pottypad on the bottom of it. We live in Florida and Belle is the runt of the litter and barely weighs a pound and the grass is hard for her to walk in (St Augustine grass) and the heat is so miserable right now, so I thought I'd train her in the box. Only she won't go in it. I tried to get her to go on a pad too and she hops off of that as well. It has to be my kitchen floor or nothing else. I've even put the pads and box in the kitchen! Nothing!! Please help!!!!!!
