It was actually quite simple. . . .The yorkie in question was always jumping up on him, wanting him to pick her up, etc. all he really did was not allow her to have her way all the time. When she would jump up on him he would point and say "SHH" and ignore her.
I have seen before on other episodes that if your pup is being a nuisance on the couch (because they always want to be on your lap) you should set them on the floor, because to them, your lap is a source of power.
