Because if she can't ID the dog, or they have the dog hidden where she can't him, they can get rid of the dog and she will not see Zeke again.
She can't just barge into the house, if Zeke isn't there it is considered a felony.
Even if Zeke is there, if she break and enters or pushes the woman to get in, it is a criminal act.
