But I weighed him on my scale by deducting his weight from mine when I hold him and he weights 7.5 pounds on my scale. Are vets' scale that accurate? I know my weight is not he same as my doctor's scale, but this is my weight holding him, minus my weight not holding him. I may need either a new scale or to ignore the vet's scale, because he hasn't been eating well in this heat.

I do know that sometimes the vet's scale are way off - particularly if they weight on the "big dog" step-on scale versus using the baby scale!
