If I have a stud that is not interested, I "fly" the girl around over his head and around the room.(I carry her where he cant reach her) Usually this drives them mad and performance is not a problem after that. Ever here this: a man only wants what he cant get? Its basically true.(in people too!!LOL) Also, all of my studs are taught to be handled at breeding time. That way they dont shy off if I have a girl that is not co-operating or may bite. They are never left to "free breed". A girl can really hurt a male that is tied.
