I think these leashes work great. My only problem is that I'm terrified of them.

When I was about 9 years old, my neighbors had their dogs on a run outside and my friend and I went to go take her for a walk and put on one of those retractable leashes well my friend was holding it and the dog went nuts and ran behind me legs, the rope from the leash gave me 2nd-3rd degree rope burn on the back of my knees...SO painful, I still get a little queasy when I see them.
