It sounds like they don't really know what you have.
I had painful periods, and pelvic pain in between periods. As I got older, the BC stopped helping and the pain got progressively worse until I was practically unable to function 2 weeks a month (the week I had my period, and then 2 weeks later). My doctor just *decided* that I had endometriosis and wanted to shoot me up with lupron. I went to a surgeon and had them do surgery (the only way to diagnose it) and I had other issues, but NOT endo. So I would have taken some nasty medication with long term irreversible side effects for a disease I didn't even have! Do you want to know how quickly I changed doctors??
Anyway, please do a ton of reseach and get second and third opinions before you just take Clomid. If you don't know what's wrong, Clomid could make the problem worse. Go and see a RE, a reproductive endocrinologist or at least a fertility specialist. My surgeon was a fertility specialist. They say the average woman gets pregant in 6 months - 1 year once they start trying. If you are older than 30 or if you have problems, then you shouldn't wait more than 6 months before you see a specialist. |
