I have the same issue with my brother's boxer, Vito. He gets all jumpy and excited and scares Max. I let them around each other for short periods then I have to separate them when Vito gets too excited. I'm gradually trying to increase the amount of time that they are around each other so that they can learn to co-exist peacefully. I need some other suggestions, too.
