Could you put the puppies crate close to your bed but not in your bed. When they awaken a quiet "suush" and/or putting your figers in so they can smell them. Might help. That has worked for the puppies that I place. I don't know how old your babies are, but they will outgrow the nightly romp eventually.
I would suggest that you reserve the pennies in a can for instances when you are correcting other specific behavior ie: barking, chewing, and such. To me, the coins/can would not be the way to teach them quiet at night..JMO
Thanks whispersmom2. They were on carpet for about an hour while I washed the sheet that lines their playpen. I'll have to get a backup for when its in the wash. My pups are 8 weeks old if that helps any. I've tried shushing them and putting my hand into the pen when they cry, but they don't stop until I or my bf are physically with them for the night. It sounds like a lot of you guys have had this problem though, I'm not nearly as worried now. Thanks again
