Uno wasn't having it, we were "that" student....he hid behind anything, and would cozy himself in between my ankles hoping to go unnoticed. This week our homework is to try and walk on a leash without pulling. MY goal is to just get him to walk, period! I think I will enroll him in doggy daycare for a couple days out of the week to help him become better socialized. I feel like a bad mommy when he doesn't want to play with other kids...I always worry about the fact he was an only pup and didn't have brothers and sisters.

Oh- before I forget....does/has anyone else use/used the method where you place your fingers around their mouth/muzzle? and just give them a firm hold on the body to stop them from biting? I know a lot of people have reservations about holding their mouths shut, just wondering what the success rate was for those who tried it. Tonight I did it everytime he wanted to eat my hand, and although we had some REAL hard bites (I mean, ferociously hard, with growling of course) I made sure to always get my hold on him even through the pain. . .
Hi...aww sounds like he might have just been worn out...Lucy is going to her second-training class tonight...last week she had two accidents inside, I'm hoping this week she doesn't have any of those... (sorry way off-topic)

As far as the play biting goes, we're going through the same thing and it's rough...I just wrap my hand around her muzzle and say "NO BITE" and then I give her a bone or a toy to chew on. If she still goes after my fingers, I say NO BITE again and show her the toy. If she does it again I stand up and ignore her, when she stops trying to bite me (we're clicker training) I click and give her a treat. Now if she's still biting then she gets a 2-3 min. time out in her kennel.

Have you gotten her any teething toys? Lucy seems to really enjoy her Orbee teething bone, this other teething bone (forget the brand we got at Petsmart) it has like a flexible plastic tube with some strings that come out the ends, and also the puppy kong...Good luck!

OH and the weight thing don't worry, Lucy was 3.1 pounds at 13 weeks and at 16 weeks weighed 3.8 pounds (3 pounds, 12 ounces)
