i just had the same thing happen with Daisy she had problems matting in the legs because of puppy hair and she had gone out on fresh cut grass and was a total mess i couldn't get the matts out but she has a really long coat so i shaved her legs and belly
i'll post a few pics but i am hoping that it will grow back fast lol. I just couldn't bare to cut all her hair off. her length hides most of it but i am glad i did now maybe it will come in nicer. the second pic i lifted up her hair to show it shaved but the hair covers it when it's down lol i also gave her little lions feet OMG i am a dork i know!
