I live in a little town called Ridgecrest. It is about 90 miles southeast of Bakersfield in the middle of the desert and about 90 miles northeast of Lancaster. There isn't a bigger town withing 90 miles. I have checked out both of the sites mentioned. They used to have a 2 day show here 1 time a year, but I understand this year it was cancelled. Not sure why. It is so hard to find out any information about the club here because the web site doesn't stay updated. and unless you happen to KNOW a member, I have found it hard to even find out who to talk to for any info from them. The club here is Coso Fanciers. Don't know when they meet, etc

I have gone to the shows every time it is here and always felt like it was hard to even get questions answered from the people there (both the exhibitors and the vendors, etc) I am sure they are just so busy with thier own dogs, I always got the feeling they wouldn't be happy to welcome in anyone new. It is probably just me or they had other things on thier mind.

The last time the show was here, (last year) we went and took Sunshine with us. (she isn't the one I would like to show) I talked to a few yorkie people and they were nice. They were admiring Sunshine and were very nice. But even asking what kind of grooming products they use, some just acted like it was a secret or something. I did talk to a really nice lady who bred yorkies for years. She fell in love with Sunshine and said she had lost her last yorkie less than a year before and was interested in a puppy if we bred her. She also told me that it would be extremely hard to start showing because it is hard to get into unless you knew someone. Not sure how true that is, but I really would like to get some info and some direction. Thanks so much
