Uno went in for his next vaccination today, and poor baby. . .They found 2 mites and a couple of larvae (ew!) in his ears so not only did he have his shot, he had this stuff put on his back (Revolution for puppies/cats) to treat the mites. Oh, and his nail trim. . .I asked about the side affects from the vaccination, and the vet said he may be sleepy. . . Well, we got home at close to 9:30, laid on the couch, and we both didn't wake up until after 12 noon. . . . . .

. . . .(I'm sleep deprived with this pup!) He went outside to do his business, and he's soooo sleepy still. He's sleeping now!
Question: Were/are your puppies very sleepy after their vaccinations???
Second, at Uno's puppy exam he weighed in at 2.9 lbs. . ..Well, now at 13 weeks he's 3.5!!!! The vet said that he's starting to get a little too plump. . .My breeder said she wanted him to have unlimited food for 3 weeks (keep it in his pen)...? Well, i'm going to go with the vet on this one and do the feeding 3 times a day...
And third (long post, apologies

) the vet taught me how to put him in a sort of hold/brace when he bites/nips to show him i'm boss. I have to admit, I would 'try' to dominate him, but I would always feel bad when he whined. . .It was miraculous to see...Uno was trying to bite, she put her thumb and index finger around his mouth and had her hand on his lower neck. He completely complied for her....then when it was 'my turn' to try he was awful and biting me. . .I have let him be in charge for too long. . . I was such a wuss before, but it's time to be the pack leader...as cesar would say
Sorry for the long post, just super excited to find something that actually works in terms of showing him it's not ok....
