I give my Gus a dime sized amount almost every day or if I feel he needs more nutrition. These little guys are pron to hypoglycemia and can go down very quickly. Gus's sugar level went down once and I had ran out of Nutri-Stat, so I gave him sugar water and he was ok after about 20 minutes or so. After that I always make sure I have NutriCal or Nutri-Stat on hand. I have one tube in his doggy bag, in my purse, and here at home.

As far as supplemental milk,,, I had to give that to my pom and her pups after mom wouldn't nurse her pups or eat anything herself after only 3 weeks of giving birth. My cousin gives the milk to her pregnant mommies for extra nutrition
