hmm.. anal glands are right next to their bum. so that doens't sound like it... could be a bite.... is he scratching it?? i'd give it a bit... see if it goes down.. you can put a warm compress on it to bring blood to the area in the event that it is a bruise or bite.. it will help it heal faster.. if you think it might be a bite you can give him benadryl. poor little man. let us know how it goes
