I apologize, I should have worded myself differently. I would preferrably like my Yorkie to be 3-4lbs full grown, but it's definately not a must. I understand that there's no sure way to determine their adult size, but I was hoping to get one that's a little bit smaller to begin with, as opposed to the biggest one out of the litter.

I always want to ask a lot of questions, but I sometimes feel like if I do, the breeder will be offended and feel like I'm interrogating them. But I guess if they're a genuinely good breeder, they would have no problem answering all the questions. Thanks you for your thoughts!

My feeling is that you should not be looking for a specific size. I am sure you have seen the posts from many people stating that their yorkies got much bigger than they were told. There is no way that we as breeders can guarantee a size. Yes, go ahead and ask about sizes and weights of parents and the puppy, just don't be heartbroken if your puppy is not the exact size you were wanting. There have been several new yorkie owners that were ready to give up their new puppies because they were going to be too big. Size does not matter if you are getting a pet. The love and devotion will still be there whether the puppy will be 3 pounds or 10 pounds fully grown.
