She's not been socialized at all, and probably never gets to go anywhere at all, especially on walks which would help keep the nails shorter. Yes, snacks will certainly cause a dog to gain weight, and quickly too.
My guess is that the owner just doesn't have the proper "know-how" to take care of the dog, and it would be nice if you could show her these problem areas and offer to help out. |
