It sounds like you are going to be a great Yorkie owner. You are doing your research and asking the right questions.

I have heard that some of the smaller Yorkies can have medical issues, but since you are looking for a quality breeder, that should help. I also know that it can be difficult to predetermine the size your Yorkie will turn out to be. You could choose a puppy that the breeder says will be 4 lbs, and he/she may grow to be 7 or more.

Also, do you have young children or other pets? If you do, I would probably go with a Yorkie that's a little larger and sturdier if you have a choice.

I'm sure you'll get a lot of great advice on this site. Hope you find the Yorkie of your dreams very soon.
