| It could always be a collapsed trachea as well - where the collagen in the throat is not enough and the trachea collapses when the dog is stressed or excited. A Vet could tell you - one of my three Tara had this since a puppy, and they operated to check it out - they said she was very bad and wouldn't live past 4 yrs - and charged me a lot of money, but that was a lot of rubbish, as she is 7 now and no worse. If it is that, just hold her nose towards the floor and gently massage her throat - this will take the spasm out of it and your dog will be fine until the next time. It's like a wheeze and sneezy noise and spluttering....but these ladies are right it could also be reverse sneezing. In any case the cure is easy if it's the throat, just massage it.....and keep them from stress and excitement as much as possible. Debra x x x x
