Never ever walk a yorkie on a collar. They are very prone to collapsing trachea. I don't even leave Wobie's collar on him when he's unattended, for fear that it will catch on something and strangle him. I usually just attatch his tags to his harness, and he wears that pretty much all the time. It doesn't matt his hair at all.
