I wouldn't say it occupies them for hours, but it took Eddie quite a while to figure it out. I'd pull a squirrel halfway out and let him get it easily, then I'd stuff them in a little further. Once he figured it out, he'd really dig at it. Of course, I have to supervise all play with stuffed toys. He has a tendency to shread them.
