Its not that I didn't WANT a purebred yorkie. I just thought the traits of a yorkie-mix were more desireable to what I wanted at the time. What made you want a purebred yorkie? What traits did the yorkie have that were desireable to you?

I wanted a dog that was calm and gentle. Sometimes yorkies can be a little bit high strung. I especially wanted a dog that was good with children as I have a lot of children in my life (I'm a nanny). Not that yorkies AREN'T, but at the time... a mix seemed more desireable to me. To each his (or her) own.
