We are fairly new to the Richardson area, and will soon be adding an 8-year-old Yorkie boy to our little family of two. My friend in AZ had a stroke and feels she can no longer care for him (but if she ever wants him back we will return him). Since our Hailey went to the Bridge on 12/23/06, we've been very sad,

so I think Yogi needs us and we need him. My hubby is flying out to get him and bring him back the same day. I wish I could go, but for now, am under "no fly" restrictions from my doc.
I need a good vet, and maybe a good back-up vet in the Richardson, TX area. I am looking for someone who genuinely loves animals (you'd think that would be a given, wouldn't you?), who is kind and gentle, who is smart and cutting-edge in his/her knowledge, who runs a clean, clean, clean office, and who has a kind and caring staff. It would also be nice if they didn't nickel and dime us at every turn. I don't want much, do I?
I've had a lot of dogs over my lifetime, and this will be our third Yorkie. I've had great vets and terrible vets, and sometimes I didn't learn they were terrible until too late.

So it would also be nice to know who NOT to go to.
Many thanks, fellow Yorkie Lovers!
Sandy
