I saw an episode of "It's Me or the Dog" not too long ago where a dog did this when the owners came home. The trainer's 'remedy' for this was to totally ignore the dog when you get home. Do not look at the dog, do not speak to the dog until the dog settles down. (I know, it's TOUGH TO DO)Apparently, when we come home the dogs are on super excitement mode and when we fawn over them when we enter the house it just gets the dog that much more excited and some dogs pee with excitment! So the hope is that once the dog learns that you are not going to play into their excitement, the peeing will stop. This is not to say that after you are in the house for awhile and the dog's excitment level comes down a notch or two that you can't then give them loving. Just don't do it when you walk in the door. Wait awhile.
This method did work for the dog on TV so give it a try. You have nothing to lose.
