I have used whatever I had on hand at the time...I have used Coat Handlers rinse at full strength (water based) Bio Groom, Royal Coatilan...a light mink oil works..but jus.t a little spraying on the hair and not brushed into the body.

You do have to brush it out well every second/third day..the hips get the worst of it.
