The test results came in-
Some good news
They think it was caused by an infection. I told them they prescribed her an antibiotic that is not supposed to be taken with Phenbarb. They said they were sorry and gave her amox. (for a charge of $15.00!!)
Some bad news
The vet said Roxy's white blood count is elevated.
Also her Liver value is high at 252.
They said it could be due to her taking the Phenbarb for the last 2 years.
I am picking up all of her records and getting a 2nd opinion tomorrow in Ventnor NJ with Dr. Walk. The vet needs to be familiar with liver disease in Yorkies.
Roxy is doing much better now. She is licking us and jumping up on the couch with us again! She even barked for her treat after she did a pee-pee.
Thank God, I really was scared.
