If the blockage is high enough, there is a chance that they could do bypass surgery and that might work, but he has had this done before so I don't know if he has anymore good veins to use.
It is really not a matter of IF, but WHEN. It's only a matter of time before the tissue on his foot begins to break down due to lack of oxygen.
My stomach is in a knot right now. I need to pull self together. Two of my girls are coming this after noon, and I'fm afraid of having a melt down in front of them and the grandkids. |
I am here and I can hold your hand too, cause im needing someone to hold my hand too. My mom is going through this same thing. Its very scarey. She was ran over and drug by a car at age two. they saved her foot , but she only has half of a foot. She is now 83 and had never had any problems with it , but she had never went in to have it rechecked through the years. well now she has a big hole in top of her foot. The Drs has been cleaning and working on it over a month. The infection will go away and then come back. This week they operated on it and filed down all the scar tissue and filed down two toe bones where she once had toes. They say she has not enough blood going through her foot. They didnt want to put her asleep to do the operetion, but took 5 neddles to try and numb it, well scar tissue cant be numbed and she felt every bit of it. She is home now and waiting on the bone test results, we hope and pray there is no infection in her bone. Im sorry this got long , but wanted to let you know I am going throught the same worry as you. and I will keep your husband in my thoughts and prayers along with my mom.
