If the blockage is high enough, there is a chance that they could do bypass surgery and that might work, but he has had this done before so I don't know if he has anymore good veins to use.
It is really not a matter of IF, but WHEN. It's only a matter of time before the tissue on his foot begins to break down due to lack of oxygen.
My stomach is in a knot right now. I need to pull self together. Two of my girls are coming this after noon, and I'fm afraid of having a melt down in front of them and the grandkids. |
Again, I'm so sorry for you. My gma has diabetes & has had a bypass before. They couldn't do as many as they wanted to because she didn't have enough good veins. That's such a scary situation to be in. You just need to believe that no matter what happens you'll still have each other & you'll still love each other. I'm so glad that your girls are coming to be with you today and that you do have a support system through them. I'm sure you'll be strong in front of your grandbabies, but your daughters will understand if you cry in front of them. They will want to help you in any way and if that means letting you cry on their shoulders I'm sure they'll be glad to be able to comfort you. They can't do anything about the situation but they can be there for you and your husband. I know I wouldn't want my Mom to try to pretend that she was handling it okay just for my sake. They'll know how scared you are even if you don't tell them. You've comforted them many times, let them be there for you now when you need it so much. I'm sending more hugs and prayers your way. Please know we're all here for you.
