Yes, Yorkies are child friendly, however the problem is that most children view them as little stuffed animals. Little ones must be trained in how to handle these little yorkies. They must never be left alone with them. Broken Legs, and even death happened, due to mishandling. So, many accidents can happen
I never place my puppies in homes with children under the age of 12.
With a 9 Month Old daughter, your time is probably very limited and yorkies do take alot of your time too.
My suggestion would be to find a dog that is a bit more sturdier and withstand the handling of children.
